Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 2026-03-02
Elevate Veterinary Physiotherapy is committed to making our website accessible and inclusive for all visitors.
Our commitment
Elevate Veterinary Physiotherapy is committed to ensuring our website is accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, and we regularly review our website to identify and address accessibility issues.
Accessibility features
Our website includes the following accessibility features: Keyboard navigation — all interactive elements (links, buttons, forms, accordion panels) can be accessed and operated using the keyboard alone, with visible focus indicators throughout. ARIA landmarks and roles — we use semantic HTML5 elements (header, nav, main, footer, section) and ARIA attributes to provide clear page structure for screen readers. Colour contrast — text colours meet WCAG AA contrast requirements (minimum 4.5:1 for body text, 3:1 for large text) against their backgrounds. Responsive design — all pages are fully responsive and usable on devices from 320px wide upwards. Reduced motion — animations are disabled when the user has enabled "prefers-reduced-motion" in their operating system. Image alternatives — all meaningful images include descriptive alt text; decorative images are marked as presentational. Form labels — all form inputs have associated labels and clear error messaging.
Known limitations
While we strive for full accessibility, some areas may have limitations: The embedded Google Maps widget on our contact page is a third-party component and may not fully meet all accessibility standards — the map's service area is also described in text nearby. Some PDF documents (such as gait analysis reports) may not be fully screen-reader accessible — please contact us if you need content in an alternative format. We are actively working to address these issues and improve accessibility across the site.
Testing
This website was last reviewed for accessibility in March 2026. Testing included automated checks using axe-core and Lighthouse, manual keyboard navigation testing, and screen reader testing. We test with the latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge.
